Pricing, Prints, and Shipping

If you’ve reached this page and haven’t checked out my Terms of Service yet, make sure to give those a look before you seek a commission.

Special Commission Types

Icons

$30 Storybook, $45 Shaded. Simple animation available (see description)

A head-and-shoulders picture of your character with a simple background (flags are okay for this). Animation will be priced based on how many keyframes / characters / forms I need to draw and how we transition between them. Inquire within~

PS: If you’re getting a larger commission, just ask and I’ll crop out a part of it (and add a simple background, if you like) for use as an icon. No extra charge.

Badges

Standard commission price + $5* for printing (free domestic shipping)

A convention-style badge that I can print out and laminate for you. Check out the Shipping section to see printing and delivery options. Naturally, you’ll get the digital files either way, so printing it yourself is an option.

ID Style cards include Poketopian passport cards. A gallery of card options will be provided later (once I’ve drawn them).

*Larger print options may be more expensive

Drawovers (Drawn-Into-Reality)

(Available in Storybook or Full Detail at the standard price)

These are illustrations where I draw a character into a real-life photograph. You can bring your own photo, choose one from my library, or allow me to find us a public domain photo to use. Naturally, since the background is pre-made, you generally won’t be charged for it. The choice of photograph is important though, and depending on how much needs to be edited in the base photo, additional charges may apply.

I can also draw over pictures of people, turning you or a friend into your fursona(s) for example. This can be a bit cheaper, since I’ll only charge you for the body parts I have to draw over. Inquire within.

Reference Sheets

Starting at $140

The base price includes two full-body poses (front and back) and the information surrounding them. By their nature, ref sheets have detailed lines but no shading. Additional poses and elements can be added on at the following rates:

Full-Body Poses: $60 each

Headshots / Busts: $40 each

Close-Ups (Other Body Part / Prop / Detail): First one or two is free, extras $10 each

Sequences

Each additional part is priced as an additional character

For both effect and expedience, I can mix and match full-body poses, partial-body poses, and close-ups on specific body parts. Let’s get creative!

If your idea involves a lot of dialogue, then a Comic Page commission might be a better fit for you.

Comic Pages

Similar to Sequences, but a bit more complicated. Additional fees may apply.

These can get complicated pretty quickly, so I’m rather particular about taking these on. Generally, I’ll only do these with people I’ve already had a good experience working with in the past. For the best experience, we’re going to need a clear idea about the plan up-front. Or even better: a script.

If you lack a script or dialogue is unimportant to you, please consider a sequence commission instead. I can help you write a comic script, but I may charge extra for writing services depending on how much work it takes to figure out the idea.

We’ll negotiate a fair price based on the poses and background detail in each panel and page, with a possible extra fee for fancy lettering. As a rough estimate, I can see a page costing in the range of $100 to $300, depending on the level of detail you request. Any style (including Colored Sketch) can be made into a comic or a sequence.

Written Works

Did you know that I can write, too? I haven’t done enough of this recently to be able to accurately price this, but if any Patreon supporters are interested in some experimental writing commissions, then please get in touch via Discord.

The Patreon YCH Vault

If you’re in the right tier of my Patreon, you can raid the vault at any time and pick up one of my older YCHs from this list. Expect the price to be 20% off of the cost it would be to get that piece as a standard commission, unless otherwise stated.

Complexity

Prices are subject to change based on character complexity. Particularly simple designs may get a discount. Particularly complicated designs may be subject to an additional charge.

This can be fairly subjective, and it’s impossible to make a list of everything and where it would land on the scale of complexity, but here’s a short list of examples to give an idea of what to expect in terms of discounts and additional charges for main characters.

Very Simple

(Approximately 50% off)

Most “Body Type 1” Pokémon (Voltorb, Goomy, etc.), simple inanimate objects

Simple

(Approximately 20% off)

Most Baby Pokémon (Pichu, Cleffa, etc.), chibi forms, some object show characters

Standard Complexity

(Standard price)

Most Pokémon, most furries, most baseline humans

Rather Complicated

(Approximately 10% extra)

Most box legendary Pokémon (Dialga, Kyruem, Koraidon, etc.), realistic animate vehicles (including planedragons), excessively detailed markings

Actually Very Complicated

(Approximately 25% extra)

Certain anime protagonists, extravagantly detailed designs
